baby trio mint

This trio includes a Calathea, philodendron and a snake plant

Sunlight

  • Snake- Bright, indirect light is ideal, but snake plants are highly adaptable and can tolerate a wide range of lighting conditions.
  • Calathea- Bright, indirect light is best for Calatheas. They thrive in well-lit rooms but need to be protected from direct sunlight, which can cause their beautiful leaves to fade or burn.
  • Philodendron- Bright, indirect light is ideal, but philodendrons are highly adaptable and can tolerate a wide range of lighting conditions.

Watering

  • Snake- Snake plants are drought-tolerant and prefer to be on the dry side. Water thoroughly, but allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. During warmer months, you can water once every 2-3 weeks. In winter, reduce watering to once a month or less.
  • Philodendron-Water your Philodendron when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry. Insert your finger into the soil to check moisture levels.
  • Calathea- Calatheas prefer consistently moist soil, but not soggy. Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry.

Humidity

  • Snake-Snake plants thrive in average household humidity. They don't require high humidity, making them suitable for most indoor environments.
  • Philodendron-Philodendrons thrive in average to high humidity. While they do well in regular indoor humidity, they will appreciate extra humidity in particularly dry environments.
  • Calathea- Calatheas require high humidity (50-60% or higher). Low humidity can cause the leaves to dry out, curl, or develop brown edges

Temperature

  • Snake- Ideal temperature range is between 16°C to 29°C
  • Philodendron- Philodendrons prefer temperatures between 18°C to 27°C. They are tropical plants and do not tolerate cold temperatures well.
  • Calathea- Ideal temperatures are between 18°C to 27°C.
