CRASSULA
Caring for a Crassula indoor houseplant is relatively straightforward, as these succulents are known for their hardiness and low maintenance requirements. Here are some tips to ensure your Crassula thrives indoors:
Sunlight
- Bright, Indirect Light: Crassulas prefer bright, indirect sunlight. Place your plant near a window that receives plenty of light, but avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
- Adequate Light: If natural light is insufficient, consider using a grow light to supplement.
Watering
- Infrequent Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, which is a common issue with succulents.
- Deep Watering: When you water, do so thoroughly until water drains out of the bottom of the pot. Empty any excess water from the saucer to prevent waterlogging.
Humidity
- Average Humidity: These plants do well in typical indoor humidity levels. If the air is very dry, especially in winter, occasional misting can help, but it’s generally not necessary.
Temperature
- Room Temperature: Crassulas thrive in temperatures between 18°C to 27°C. They can tolerate cooler temperatures but should be kept away from drafts and frost.
