The Alocasia Melo Variegated is a rare, compact houseplant prized for its thick, textured leaves with beautiful variegation in shades of silvery green and cream. It thrives in bright, indirect light and enjoys warm, humid conditions between 18–26°C. Keep the soil evenly moist but never soggy—allow the top layer to dry slightly between waterings, and ensure the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot. High humidity helps this plant flourish, so mist the leaves regularly or place it near a humidifier. Feed every 2–4 weeks during the growing season with a diluted liquid fertiliser, and gently clean the leaves occasionally to maintain their unique texture and colour. Avoid cold drafts and direct sunlight, and keep out of reach of pets and children, as the plant is toxic if ingested.
