The Alocasia Red Secret is a stunning tropical houseplant known for its metallic, deep red leaves with a glossy finish and intricate veining that make it a true statement piece. It thrives in bright, indirect light and warm, humid conditions between 18–26°C. Keep the soil lightly moist but not waterlogged, allowing the top few centimetres to dry out before watering again, and ensure good drainage to protect the roots. Mist regularly or place near a humidifier to maintain humidity, especially during colder months. Feed every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer with a diluted liquid fertiliser to promote vibrant growth, and wipe the leaves occasionally to preserve their striking shine. Avoid direct sunlight and cold drafts, and note that this plant is toxic if ingested, so it should be kept out of reach of pets and children.
