The Hoya Imbricata is a rare and fascinating climbing houseplant, admired for its unique circular leaves that tightly hug and overlap surfaces as it grows. It thrives in bright, indirect light and warm, humid conditions between 18–28°C. Keep the soil lightly moist but never waterlogged—allow the top few centimetres to dry out between waterings, and ensure excellent drainage. This plant loves humidity, so mist regularly or place near a humidifier, especially during drier months. Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a diluted liquid fertiliser formulated for foliage or epiphytic plants. As a natural climber, it appreciates a support such as cork bark or a moss pole to attach its leaves. Avoid cold drafts and harsh sunlight, and note that the Hoya Imbricata is toxic if ingested, so it should be kept away from pets and children.
