The Philodendron Burle Marx Variegata is a beautiful and compact tropical houseplant admired for its glossy, elongated leaves streaked with creamy yellow and green variegation. It thrives in bright, indirect light and warm, humid conditions between 18–28°C. Keep the soil lightly moist but not soggy, allowing the top few centimetres to dry out between waterings, and ensure the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot. Mist regularly or use a humidifier to maintain humidity, especially during drier months. Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a diluted liquid fertiliser to support healthy growth and maintain vibrant variegation. Wipe the leaves occasionally to remove dust and keep them glossy. Avoid cold drafts and harsh sunlight, and remember that this plant is toxic if ingested, so keep it out of reach of pets and children.
